A walled medieval town of pastel houses between two famous mountains — the Hahnenkamm on one side, the Kitzbüheler Horn on the other, and a warm dark lake in between.
St. Anton, Lech & the Arlberg
The pass where alpine skiing was invented — St. Anton under the Valluga on the Tyrolean side, Lech and Zürs over the Flexen on the Vorarlberg side, and the snowiest slopes in Austria between them.
Bad Gastein

A broad Tyrolean valley that ends in glaciers — a village of painted inns, a turquoise reservoir at the head of it, and skiing on the Hintertux glacier in every month of the year.

Achensee
